School Picture Day

When Sebastiao started school at NSMS I never even thought we would have an opportunity for School pictures. Chad and Andi, from a previous post, took some amazing photos. The best part was not having to pick a picture package and pay a ton of money. We received the pictures in our inbox with nothing to pay! The second picture is Sebastiao's class (2nd and 3rd grade) and the bottom is the entire school.

One Brave Girl

Well for those of you who know our Isabella well, you know she is the bravest and smartest in our family. This picture proves my point. After seeing the amaziing waterfall, Bella was up for this photo oportunity- thats my girl!

Pailon del Diablo

Pailon del Diablo, or the Devil's Cauldron is a an amazing waterfall about 45 minutes from our house. We got to spend the day hiking up to it. What an amazing view and the hike there was beautiful, just don't tell Sebastiao- he was in school and didn't get to go.

More Bats

Well, you ladies will appreciate this. You know how weird things only seem to happen when your husband is out of town. More things seem to go wrong, break, catch on fire or crawl into your home when you are the only parent there. Well.... that is certainly the case with our family. We had a bat in the house this past week. Fortunately it wanted to get out as much as I wanted it to, and I had a friend here to help- but it added to an exciting (and tiring) week. Fortunately Joe comes on Sunday.. just a few more days.

Family Pictures

Some of our very good friends here, Chad and Andi Irwin, have amazing photographic talent. Chad and Andi are here with MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship). Chad is a pilot and Andi, among other things, is the school librarian for NSMS and interior design consultant for the Martin Family. Fortunately for us, they are willing to share the abilities on poor helpless people such as ourselves. Recently they did a family photo shoot for us. We Are Back

Well, sorry for the absence, but with my parents visiting (wonderful time), being without intenet at home for 2 weeks and Joe being in the states for the last week and a half, there just hasn't been much time. I wanted to share a few pictures from my parents trip. We had a wonderful time with them and they were VERY brave! Between Joe driving like an Ecuadorian and convinceing them to eat at an outdoor market one night, I was impressed (but not surprised) with their adaptability
